Sometimes a new athlete steps into the box and just blows everyone away! Courtney has done just that. A participant in our most recent 6 week challenge, she has excelled from day 1. Consistency is a trait which Courtney brings in abundance to fuel her success.

Where did you grow up? Massachusetts and then moved to Florida when I was 13. My Boston accent only comes out in a few words nowadays (right Darbie? 😂)
When did you become a member at Loaded Bell CrossFit? September
What do you do when you are not at Loaded Bell CrossFit? (occupation, hobbies, etc.) read, gtake my daughters to parks and play dates, attend my husband’s basketball games (Lobo Women’s basketball assistant coach), genealogy nerd, and explore NM when we get free time. This past year has been my only time as a stay at home mom- my background is working in Human Resources
How did you find out about CrossFit? I’ve been aware of it for a while. My cousin does CrossFit in Cali and one of my husband’s former players owns a gym.
When did you realize CrossFit is right for you? When I started and enjoyed the challenge!
What is your favorite WOD/movement? Probably squats because I can’t mess those up too bad 😂
What is your least favorite WOD/movement? Wall balls! The 5k row tested my will to live.
What is one thing you have done at Loaded Bell CrossFit that you never thought you would do? Handstand!
What motivates you during a CrossFit WOD? Finishing (timed) or trying for a PR.
What is something about yourself that we might not know? I’m a huge Outlander (books/tv series) fan
What advice would you give to someone just getting started with CrossFit? Give yourself time to adjust to a new style of exercise.
